Clothing designer and owner of Pipi Child, Annette, felt there was a lack of style, comfort and affordable  merino clothing for infants and children so she decided to create her own line of superfine pure merino wool bodysuits, tops, bottoms, hats, gowns, wraps and booties! She's also added a full range of cotton pieces made of stretch interlock {if you've never tried interlock fabrics before, you're missing out!!}

For review, I received an itty bitty and adorable little Merino Wool Long Sleeve Bodysuit {$42} and matching Beanie {$15} in size 0-6 months. What was the first thing I did with it, other than rubbing it along my cheek, ooohing and aaaahhhing over the silky softness? Wash it and pack in my hospital bag of course! This bodysuit is PERFECT for our climate. It's pretty chilly already and -30 degrees is just around the corner! Knowing how sensitive newborns are to coldness, this is what I'll be layering the new baby in for our drive home from the hospital. This bodysuit is listed as a "winter essential" and I absolutely agree! Oddly enough for how thin merino wool is, it's an excellent insulator in the cold and since it's breathable, doesn't leave your little one sweaty or overheated! Another feature that sets Pipi Child apart? This longsleeve bodysuit has mother of pearl button crutch fastenings instead of snaps! The seams are soft, smooth and lay nice and flat.

All of the pieces from Pipi Child are generously sized so they can be tucked in comfortably and move with your busy little bee. Pipi Child is definitely a brand that will last from child to child making it worth the investment. This time around, with baby #2, I'm putting more emphasis on quality products over quantity. Instead of having a drawer full of scratchy onesies, I want to have a few select pieces that my little one is comfortable in especially with having delicate newborn skin. There's nothing worse that those bumpy red rashes that show up randomly on your newborn from a cheap scratchy bodysuit that you thought was a steal in a pack of 10 for $6!

Pipi Child also carries wraps and taggie blankets that I would love to try! Imagine swaddling your baby in a beautiful, snug, cuddly soft piece of merino wool like the ones pictured here?? I want one for myself!
