PLANET KID

Planet Kid is a super cool Canadian children's boutique located in Toronto, Ontario. As moms of boys, Sara Fillmore and Carolyn Murphy shared that familiar frustration that many of us moms with boys have - not being able to find any cute, unique baby, toddler or big kid boy clothes! Seems like there are always the most adorable little girl's clothes available but boys were being left with generic dinosaur t-shirts and jeans or cords. Jackets are either sporty or dressy with no in between!

So Planet Kid was determined the provide parents with the coolest options in clothes, home decor and accessories for babies to age 6 and they succeeded! Owners, Carolyn and Sara design little masterpieces of their own which they feature and sell at Planet Kid. Hankware and Baby Ben creations are both lines of funky and unique kids' clothing and accessories. They also carry many other fabulous local Toronto designers with a focus on handmade, eco-friendly and fun styles.

Being eco-chic to me is definitely supporting quality handmade products that last the test of time to be used for more than one child and Planet Kid makes it easy to do just that. All their products are made in Canada with lots of love and lots of style. They also have some amazing close up photos so you can see exactly what you're buying which makes shopping at an online boutique that much more comforting.

For review, Sara sent me the Firekid Coat and the matching Firekid Hat by Hankware. Words can't even describe how adorable this little set is!! By far, this is definitely the cutest boys' coat I have EVER seen. And come to think of it, I've never seen anything like it! It's so true - what boy doesn't want to be a 'fireguy'?? Designer, Sara, purposely makes them generous is size so your little guy can wear his Firekid Coat for years. It's completely realistic with velcro and heavy duty buckles just like the real deal! It's available in size 3/4, the fit is loose on Aidan, but with the sleeves rolled up to show the cozy soft yellow fleece inside, it's wearable since he's a tall guy for 18 months. What an amazing gift for a special little boy in your life...and a gift that will keep on giving for years to come! The outer shell is cotton and nylon that makes it waterproof and the inside is soft, warm fleece.

Even though Planet Kid specialized in boys' wear, it's not limited to just the little guys in your life. They have some of the cutest little girls clothes {all made in Canada by local designers} and they even have stainless steel water bottles and hand printed toys made with non-toxic inks. There's something for everyone!
